This plateau is covered with massive rocks that break as pine trees, flowering scrubs, heather’s and other plants emerge. It’s beautiful all year round but even more during spring. Another feature of this route is the sweet smell of honey as in the areas of the forest track it’s lined with beehives however remaining safe from stings. As the track gets sandy it leads to a narrow woodland path that leads to the rock named after his ‘owner’ Peter. ‘Petros’ is a very large rock with a trig point on its summit that breaks up through the trees. This is the highest point of the ridge and those with a good head for heights can ascend and enjoy a breathtaking views of the peninsula. Duration: approx. 4-5 hours
