Overlooked by the towering rock spires of the Chamonix aiguilles and the snow covered peaks of the Mont Blanc Massif the valley of Chamonix needs little in the way of introduction to most mountain lovers. The valley offers just about every mountain sport imaginable, along with fantastic walking all within a stones throw of the busy centre. With this holiday we offer you the chance to escape the hustle and bustle of the town whilst still enjoying all that it has to offer. The holiday is based in a beautiful chalet on the quiet slopes above the little village of Les Houches with views out over the Chamonix valley, the Chamonix aiguilles and the aiguilles rouge.

The holiday is organised as a series of self-guided day walks on the wonderful walking trails below Mont Blanc, with the highlight of the trip being a two day trek staying overnight in a real mountain refuge. This offers a great opportunity to experience life in the mountains and the convivial atmosphere of the mountain huts. As there are a wealth of different walks in the valley the choice of walks can be tailored to suit your personal level. At the end of a perfect day you can relax in the hot tub with a glass of wine, enjoy a barbecue to the sound of goat bells or wander into the village to sample some of the regional specialities in cozy restaurants.
