Baltoro, home of hundreds of peaks, also homes four 8000 meter peaks: K-2 (8611m) (Mountain of Mountains), Broad Peak (8047m), Gasherbrum-I (8068m), and Gasherbrum-II (8035m). The trek is located in the heart of the mighty Karakoram and offers breathtaking views of snow-caped mountains. Galen Rowell described Concordia as the "throne room of the mountain gods". We have a special day free at Concordia to explore the hidden beauty of these panoramic peaks or the same day can be used to visit K-2 Base Camp if you are fit enough to go & come back. The fascinating view around the Concordia is a superb. Trek is bit strenuous and is recommended for good trekkers. The journey to giant Baltoro begins at Skardu, the capital town of Baltistan, a beautiful town with good tourist class hotels. One-way flight back to Islamabad over the great Himalayas and Karakorams, gives awe-inspiring views of Nanga Parbat and many other mountains. Even if you miss flight you will have a stop to seek Nanga Parbat on way to Skardu.
This trek requires a good degree of physical fitness, as the variable weather conditions make the crossing of pass quite challenging, but more rewarding too. It is recommended that the trek may be started from, Askole as the group can reach up to Concordia being able to see major Baltoro Peaks and, return the same route

Wednesday 26th May 2010 at 8:23:25 AM
Are there any groups going in June?
Sunday 25th July 2010 at 5:38:12 PM
I have few questions?
1/. Is any team will go in August, 2010.
2/. What is the per person expenditure/expenses for these treks. It would better that you define cost per trek seperately.
3/. What equipments, personal kit and rest of other things needed?
4/. Are these things or few/many of these things are available on rent?
5/. In Pakistan, at where these things are available on reasonable prices?
