Nanga Parbat, which means "naked mountain", is the world's ninth highest mountain, situated in the westernmost part of Himalaya. Many have tried climbing Nanga Parbat, but only few have succeeded. Avalanche dangers, local storms, and glaciers make the climb hard as well as hazardous for mountaineers.
How to Get There
The nearest major airport is located at Rawalpindi, Pakistan.
From the north, Karakoram Highway in China approcahes the base of Nanga Parbat.
Best Time to Climb
Climbing season is June through September.
